Former New York Phil Principal Cellist Laszlo Varga Has Died - Aged 90

Hungarian-American cellist Laszlo Varga has passed away, at his home in Florida – aged 90.
Mr Varga held the position of Principal Cellist with the New York Philharmonic for 11 years, under the baton of Dimitri Mitropoulos and Leonard Bernstein - and served teaching positions at the San Francisco State University, University of California, University of Toronto and the University of Houston.
