The 4 category prize winners have been announced at the 2018 Leonid Kogan International Competition for Young Violinists - in Brussels, Belgium.
Joint 1st Prize in the 9 years and younger category was awarded to Himari Yoshimura from Japan and Sofia Demetriades from Great Britain.
2nd Prize was awarded to Oleksandra Vasylkova from Ukraine.
Joint 3rd Prize was awarded to Mi-Helen Horn from Germany and Leander Hennes Resch from Germany.
1st Prize in the 10 to 13 year old category was awarded to Kai Orlinov from Bulgaria.
Joint 2nd Prize was awarded to Luca Alberto Kaufman from USA/Italy and Darya List from Germany.
Joint 3rd Prize was awarded to Maya Yoffe from Germany and Mihai Mangir from Moldova.
Joint 1st Prize in the 14 to 17 year old category was awarded to Grégoire Torossian from France and Rebecca Roozeman from Finland/Netherlands.
Joint 2nd Prize was awarded to Emilya Gasparyan from Greece and Joshua Galasse from Belgium.
3rd Prize in the 14 to 17 year old category was not awarded.
1st Prize in the 18 to 23 year old category was not awarded.
Joint 2nd Prize in the 18 to 23 year old category was awarded to Dillon Jeffares from Great Britain and Ye Gyeong Lim from South Korea.
3rd Prize was awarded to Elena Kyoko Cotrone from France/Japan.
Previous prize winners include VC Rising Star Maria Dueñas.
The 2018 jury comprised: Karen Aroutiounian (President), Michael Vaiman, Sergey Khachatryan, Alexander Detisov, Armen Harutyunyan, Igor Unterberg and Eric Melon.
