Lexington Philharmonic Amputee Cellist Launches Financial Appeal

American cellist Lisa Schaeffer, who lost a leg after the bike she was riding was pinned beneath a truck in November 2013, has launched an appeal to raise $500,000 for a prosthetic operation - not covered by her insurance.

Lisa has served as a member of the Lexington Philharmonic cello section for 11 seasons.
