The Ostrobothnian Chamber Orchestra has announced the appointment of violinist Malin Broman as its new Artistic Director
The Ostrobothnian Chamber Orchestra, in Finland, has this week announced the appointment of violinist Malin Broman as its new Artistic Director - effective from September 2019.
She will replace Finnish conductor Sakari Oramo in the role.
A graduate of London's Guildhall School of Music, Malin currently serves as Concertmaster of the Swedish Radio Symphony - and as Artistic Director of the Swedish Chamber Orchestra.
“I have worked occasionally with OCO for some years now and it is absolutely fantastic to have a possibility to work long-term with this splendid orchestra ... I am looking forward to this 3-year-period with curiosity and enthusiasm,” the 43-year-old violinist has said.
