Cellist Maya Beiser Awarded $50,000 USA Artists Fellowship

Israeli-American cellist Maya Beiser has today been announced as 1 of 37 recipients of a 2015 United States Artists Distinguished Fellow in Music prize.
Organized by the Ford, Rockefeller, Rasmuson and Prudential Foundations, Maya will receive a US $50,000 bursary to support her professional development.
She is 1 of 37 architects, designers, craftsman, dancers, writers, musicians and actors recognized this year.
“USA Fellowships are awarded to innovative artists of all ages and at all stages of their careers, who are nominated for their commitment to excellence and the enduring potential of their work,” United States Artists CEO Carolina García Jayaram has said.
