Mercury Soul and DJ Mason Bates have announced the launch of a new virtual mini-series, entitled: ‘Mercury Soul: Cathedral' - highlighting the seamless alternation between classical music and DJing

The San Francisco-based curators Mercury Soul and symphonic composer and electronic music DJ Mason Bates have this week announced the launch of a new virtual mini-series, entitled: ‘Mercury Soul: Cathedral'.

Filmed at the Saint Joseph's Arts Society, in San Francisco, the 4-part series features meditative music and electronica - highlighting the seamless alternation between classical music and DJing.

Each episode will feature solo and chamber music performances - ranging in repertoire from new works by composers Anna Clyne, Jóhann Jóhannsson and Dale Trumbore to Bach to Debussy to Indian to Chinese folk music.

This first episode features performances by pianist Elyse Weasley, mridangam player Arun Saigal, flutist Vineet Gopal, violinist Shaina Evoniuk and Composer/DJ Mason Bates.
