New Alternative Strings Now Available for the Thomastik-Infeld DYNAMO® for Violin (NO.DY100) String Set
Find your perfect match with the newly available E-string NO.DY01S and G-string NO.DY04B
Thomastik-Infeld just launched two new DYNAMO® violin strings in addition to the NO.DY100 violin string set: the E-string NO.DY01S and the G-string NO.DY04B, both in medium tension.
The alternative E-string NO.DY01S is made out of a carbon steel core with a tin-plated outer material. The string is more brilliant and brighter than the E-string (NO.DY01) included in the set. It is especially recommended for violins with a very low action on the E-string – they can benefit from the powerful sound of NO.DY01S E-string.
The alternative G-string NO.DY04B is made out of a synthetic core with silver outer material. The string offers more sound colors and also a broader sound than the G-string (NO.DY04) included in the set. However, it is also a bit more challenging to play. It is recommended for very direct-sounding violins that need a lot of sound colors.
Already available, the alternative D-string NO.DY03 is made out of a synthetic core with silver outer material. This string is recommended for when you have trouble with a wolf tone on the G-string, or if you need to improve your instrument’s response. It is also good if you prefer less brilliance or a larger diameter than that of the silver D-string (NO.DY03A) included in the set. You should also try this aluminum D-string if you like a bow sound that is more coarse-grained than the sound of the silver D-string.
"Our DYNAMO® strings for violin combine qualities you can’t usually find in one set – such as excellent response AND a broad sound," Ann-Kathrin Hitz, Marketing & Creative Director at Thomastik-Infeld told The Violin Channel. "What is also very special is that their sound blows away the musician AND the audience."
