Montreal International Violin Competition 1st prize winner, VC Artist Marc Bouchkov and violinist Sara Domjanic performing Marc’s own original recently-premiered ‘Chaconne’ for Two Violins.

Recorded live on April 5th, 2020 – from Frankfurt as part of the ‘VC Living Room Live‘ series.

"I wrote this 'Chaconne' as a tribute to a friend of mine, Stephan Remizov, who passed away when he was only 23 years old (1994-2017) ...." Marc has told The Violin Channel.

"I composed it immediately after I heard about my friend's accident ... I literally just closed myself off from the world for two days without a phone or the internet and wrote ..." he has said.

"I think of my music is an expression of myself and composing for me seems to come when I really need it, like a feeling in the moment that I have to sit right now and write this ..."

"I simply wanted the work to represent Stephan's personality ... warm and perhaps slightly naive - but that of a very good human being."
