New Zealand Violinist Awarded Prestigious Commonwealth Bursary

Violinist Amalia Hall has been awarded the 2016 64th Royal Over-Seas League Annual Music Competition Bursary.
27 year old New Zealand violinist, Amalia Hall has been awarded the 2016 64th Royal Over-Seas League Annual Music Competition Prize.
A graduate of the Curtis Institute of Music, where she studied with Pamela Frank and Joseph Silverstein, Amalia is a former major prize winner at the Hannover, Lipizer, Dinu Lipatti Postacchini and Janacek International Violin Competitions.
She will receive £3,000 (US $4500) and a number of performance opportunities - including recital engagements at London’s Wigmore Hall and a number of UK and international festivals.

The annual bursary is open to instrumentalist 30 years and under with Commonwealth citizenship.
