British violinist Nona Liddell has passed away - aged 89

British violinist Nona Liddell has passed away - aged 89.

Ms Liddell led the London Sinfonietta from 1970 to 1994 - and served long term teaching positions on faculty at London’s Royal Academy of Music and the Trinity College of Music.

She was honored as a Member of the Order of the British Empire in 1992 for her services to music.
