Dresden State Opera Announce New Principal Guest Conductor

The Semperoper Dresden has announced the appointment of 36 year old Israeli conductor Omer Meir Wellber as their new principal guest conductor

The Semperoper Dresden, in Germany, has this week announced the appointment of 36 year old Israeli conductor Omer Meir Wellber as their new principal guest conductor - effective from the commencement of the 2018/2019 season.

Omer has been a regular guest conductor with the Bavarian State Opera and previously served as the Music Director of the Palau de les Arts Reina Sofia in Valencia - and as assistant to Daniel Barenboim at both the Berliner Staatsoper Unter den Linden and Milan’s Teatro alla Scala.
