Tacet Records has announced the release of the German-based Auryn Quartet‘s new album: 'Mozart: String Quartets'

Tacet Records has this month announced the release of the German-based Auryn Quartet‘s new album: Mozart: String Quartets.

Recorded with violinists Matthias Lingenfelder and Jens Oppermann, violist Stewart Eaton and cellist Andreas Arndt, the disc features Mozart's String Quartet No. 14 in G Major K387 and No. 15 in D Minor K421. 

"We used to be a little scared of playing Mozart, but in our more mature years, and having played these pieces many times, we have learned to be free and really enjoy playing them ..." Matthias has told The Violin Channel.

"We hope the audience will enjoy the recordings, because although we are 'historically informed', we play full bodied and with gusto!" he has said.
