Sony Classical has announced the release of Swiss violinist David Nebel's debut album: 'Glass & Stravinsky'.

Recorded with conductor Kristjan Järvi, the London Symphony Orchestra and the Baltic Sea Philharmonic, the disc features Philip Glass’ 1st Violin Concerto – coupled with Stravinsky’s Violin Concerto in D.

”My personal inspiration to record this program was to join the dots between Philip Glass’ beautifully reflective, pure, clear and simplistic 1st concerto – with the chaotic strength of the Stravinsky’s …” David has this week told The Violin Channel.

“For me right now, this juxtaposition feels exactly like the mammoth societal challenges we are all currently facing,” the 23-year-old has said.
