The Violin Channel recently caught up respected violin pedagogue and 2016 Montreal International Violin Competition jury member, Mr Pierre Amoyal.

We sat him down for a fun game of VC 20 Questions - to help gain some fascinating insight into the man behind the music.

A student of Jascha Heifetz, Mr Amoyal is a former prize winner at the Paganini and Enescu International Violin Competitions. He currently holds a distinguished teaching position at the Mozarteum University of Salzburg – and serves on the jury of a number of prominent international competitions. His famed students include VC Young Artist Fedor Rudin.
