Pirastro has this week announced the launch of the new Evah Pirazzi Platinum Violin E-String - designed to specifically aid top register projection, comfortable fingering and color and overtone radiance.

“With our new Platinum E-string, the transitions from the A to the E are designed to be effortless without any breaks …” Pirastro Marketing Manager USA Ed Mingo has told The Violin Channel.

“This coupled with the perfect response of our Platinum-E helps create an experience of new freedom in the sound design,” he has said.

Pirastro has also indicated that the surface of the new platinum coating has been designed with the goal of aiding finger stability - and ease of position changing and vibrato.

The new Evah Pirazzi Platinum Violin E-String is designed to blend with all Pirastro violin string options - including the Obligato, Evah Pirazzi, Passione and Evah Pirazzi Gold sets - and comes with a newly designed removable ball end to accommodate any tailpiece or fine tuner.
