Plácido Domingo and José Carreras Postpone Australian Tour
The opera stars have rescheduled their March tour for November 2024
Opera singers Plácido Domingo and Jose Carreras have canceled the March tour of their Legends Together Again show in Australia due to “unforeseen circumstances.”
Presented by TEG Live and Unusual Entertainment, the tour dates have now moved to November 2024, and will produce shows in Brisbane, Melbourne, and Sydney between November 20–27, 2024.
Domingo and Carreras are reuniting since their days as members of Three Tenors, which also comprised Luciano Pavarotti, who passed away in 2007. Formed in 1990, Three Tenors were internationally acclaimed and won multiple GRAMMY Awards.
Legends Together Again will feature a program of iconic arias, duets, and ensembles from the most-loved operas of all time, alongside their repertoire of Broadway and Neapolitan songs. The duo will be joined by a 55-piece orchestra and conductor David Giménez.
The concerts previously scheduled for Adelaide and Perth will no longer go ahead — ticket holders to these shows will receive full refunds.
Tickets already purchased for the other shows will remain valid for the new dates. The event also requested that those unable to attend the rescheduled times must lodge a refund request by April 1, 2024, at 9 AM AEST.
