24 year old Czech violinist Olga Sroubkova has been awarded 1st prize at the 2017 Prague Spring International Violin Competition - in Prague, Czech Republic.
A graduate of the Prague Conservatory, and current graduate student at the Hannover Hochschule für Musik, Olga is a former major prize winner at the Kocian, Zhuhai, Chengdu and Lipizer International Violin Competitions.
She will receive 200,000 CVK (US $8,400) - plus a number of important European concert opportunities.
This year’s jury comprised: Ivan Zenaty, Clemens Hellsberg, Liana Isakadze, Shizuka Ishikawa, Gérard Poulenc, Bohuslav Matoušek and Ida Kavafian.
