Primo Artists Management Launches Public Divisions Roster

Primo Artists has launched their inaugural Public Relations Division which includes on its roster, conductors Gemma New and James Gaffigan; and GRAMMY Award-winning composer Steven Mackey

Additionally, the Vice President of the PR Division is Katy Salomon, who will assume the role, effective immediately.

“I’m thrilled to join the illustrious Primo Artists and look forward to adding my public relations and marketing expertise to the company’s superlative offerings,” Salomon said in the press release. “I’m excited to embark on this collaboration with the company so we can change the landscape of arts promotion.”

With a decade of PR experience, Salomon is an expert in digital marketing and album promotion — having facilitated GRAMMY Award-winning press campaigns for The Philadelphia Orchestra, New York Philharmonic, baritone Will Liverman, and composer Anna Thorvaldsdóttir, among many others.

“Katy is a highly regarded publicist known in the field for her extensive relationships with journalists and influencers through her excellent decade of press work,” added Charlotte Lee, founder of Primo Artists. “We are delighted to be one of the few agencies in the world that offers artist management, social media and PR services to artists and institutions.”

Added in 2020, the agency’s social media sector is also a recent inclusion. “[It was] born out of the pandemic which revealed how eagerly artists and audiences seek to be connected beyond the stage,” Lee explained.

“Since then, we have been utilizing our expertise in social media to extensively promote the work of artists beyond our artist management roster whilst at the same time managing PR for key artists such as James Gaffigan and Gemma New,” she continued. “We understand artists in a meaningful way, and we share their stories and build their visibility with great care. Now it is time to extend our PR work beyond our management roster and launch a new roster of artists.”

Primo Artists was founded in 2015 and stands as a top international classical music management agency with a selective artist management roster including Itzhak Perlman, Joshua Bell, Nicola Benedetti, Randall Goosby, Beatrice Rana, Seong-Jin Cho, Cristian Măcelaru, Christian Reif, Valerie Coleman, and Wynton Marsalis.
