Prizes Awarded at Norway's Trondheim International Chamber Music Competition

The Scottish-based Maxwell Quartet has been awarded 1st prize at the 2017 Trondheim International Chamber Music Competition
The Scottish-based Maxwell Quartet has been awarded 1st prize at the 2017 9th Trondheim International Chamber Music Competition, in Trondheim, Norway.
Founded in 2010 at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, and comprising violinists Colin Scoble and George Smith, violist Elliott Perks and cellist Duncan Strachan, the Maxwell Quartet will receive €15,000 - plus a number of engagements at the 2018 Trondheim Chamber Music Festival.
2nd prize was awarded to the American-based Omer Quartet.
Joint 3rd prize was awarded to the Esmé Quartet and the Simply Quartet.
This year’s audience prize was also awarded to the Maxwell Quartet.
