French-Based Quatuor Zaïde Announce New 1st Violinist

The French-based Quatuor Zaïde has today announced the appointment of French-British violinist Charlotte Maclet as their new 1st violinist

The French-based Quatuor Zaïde has today announced the appointment of French-British violinist Charlotte Maclet as their new 1st violinist.

Founded in 2009 under the auspices of the European Chamber Music Academy, the Quatuor Zaïde are former top prize winners at the Vienna, Beijing, Bordeaux and Banff International String Quartet Competitions.

Charlotte Maclet will replace violinist Charlotte Juillard - who has led the ensemble since its formation.

The quartet has indicated Charlotte Juillard will leave the ensemble to pursue other endeavors and a freelance career.

"We wish her the very best in her projects and thank her from the bottom of our hearts for these wonderful years together," the ensemble has said via Facebook.
