Chinese Guiyang Symphony Orchestra Announces New Music Director

The Guiyang Symphony Orchestra, in China has today announced the appointment of Italian conductor, Rico Saccani as their new Music Director.

Maestro Saccani, 63 has served as Music Director and Artistic Adviser of the Budapest Philharmonic Orchestra and Principal Guest Conductor of the Hungarian State Opera.

A former top prize winner at the Karajan International Conducting Competition, he has lead many of the world’s finest orchestras - including engagements with the Bavarian Radio Orchestra, Berlin Radio Symphony, Czech Philharmonic, Tokyo Philharmonic, Oslo Philharmonic and the Hamburg, Rome, Dresden and Cologne Operas.
