Rotterdam Philharmonic Announce New Principal Violist

The Rotterdam Philharmonic has announced the appointment of Roman Spitzer as their new Principal Violist

The Rotterdam Philharmonic has today announced the appointment of Russian-born Israeli violist Roman Spitzer as their new Principal Violist.

A graduate of the Rimsky-Korsakov Music College and the Tel Aviv Academy of Music, Roman has served as Principal Violist of the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra since 2000.

The 47 year old will replace Israeli-born violist Ron Ephrat - who has served the Dutch Principal Chair since 1983.
