Russian composer Vyacheslav Ovchinnikov has passed away - aged 82
Russian composer Vyacheslav Ovchinnikov has passed away - aged 82.
A graduate of the Moscow Conservatory, he composed a number of notable symphonies, symphonic poems and film scores - including the music to War and Peace and Ivan's Childhood.
Our condolences are with Mr Ovchinnikov’s family, friends, colleagues and students.
