Today is Russian-born violinist and conductor Eduard Schmieder’s 70th birthday

Today is Russian-born violinist and conductor Eduard Schmieder’s 70th birthday.

A graduate of the Gnessin Music Academy, where he studied with Felix Andrievsky, Mark Lubotsky and David Oistrakh, he currently serves on the teaching faculty at Philadelphia’s Temple University - and is the founder and Artistic Director of the iPalpiti Festival in Los Angeles.
