American violinist Stephen Zoltan Kecskemethy has passed away, after a 2 year battle with pancreatic cancer – aged 68

He served as 1st Violinist with the Portland String Quartet for more than 4 decades – and held distinguished teaching positions at Queens University and Bates, Bowdoin and Colby Colleges

Our condolences are with Mr Kecskemethy's family, friends, students and colleagues
