London's BBC Symphony Orchestra Extends Chief Conductor Sakari Oramo to 2022

The BBC Symphony has announced the contract extension of Chief Conductor Sakari Oramo - through to the end of the 2021/2022 season

The BBC Symphony Orchestra, in London, has today announced the contract extension of Finnish Chief Conductor Sakari Oramo - through until the end of the 2021/2022 season.

The 52-year-old conductor has held the position since 2013 - having previously served principal positions with the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra and the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra.
