American Soprano Brianna Robinson has this week been awarded 1st prize at the 2020 6th ‘Getting to Carnegie’ Competition – at Carnegie Hall, in New York City.
Unique in its format, each of this week’s 4 finalist contributed a movement to the world premiere performance of composer and pianist Julian Gargiulo’s Song Cycle ‘Four Ages of Love Songs.’
Brianna will receive US $2,000 – plus a solo performance at the Water Island Music Festival, in the Caribbean.
Previous 1st prize winners include: violinist VC Young Artist Nathan Meltzer - and cellist Rachel Siu.
