The 12 Semi-Finalists have been announced for the 2019 Stulberg International String Competition
The 12 Semi-Finalists have today been announced for the 2019 Stulberg International String Competition - to be held in Kalamazoo, Michigan, United States on the 18th of May.
The 2019 Semi-Finalists are:

- Jack Boettcher (Cello, 17)
- Ari Boutris (Violin, 18)

- Daniel Rafimayeri (Violin, 18)
- Sara Scanlon (Cello, 18)
- Hannah White (Violin, 19)
- Chelsea Xia (Violin, 17)
Open to violinists, violists, cellists and bassists of any nationality aged 19-years or younger and who are not current students of the 2019 judges, the 1st prize winner will receive USD $6,000 – plus a number of domestic concerto performance opportunities.
The 2019 jury will comprise: Paul Coletti, Emilio Colón and Jennifer Frautschi.
Founded in 1976, former prize winners include Joshua Bell, Soovin Kim, Rachel Barton Pine and Jennifer Koh – and VC Artists Zlatomir Fung, Brannon Cho, Matthew Lipman, Ji-Won Song and Benjamin Beilman.
