Toronto Symphony Announces Cancellation of Remaining 2020/21 Season

The Toronto Symphony has announced the cancellation of all performances previously announced in their 2020/21 season

The Toronto Symphony Orchestra, in Toronto, Canada has this week announced the cancellation of all performances previously announced in their 2020/21 season.

"All of us here at the TSO —musicians, artists, and staff— feel your disappointment ... " Orchestra CEO Matthew Loden has this week said.

"Performing is the life-blood of who we are—and that is why we remain fiercely committed to bringing live performances to our audiences as soon as it is possible and safe to do so, as health regulations allow," he has said.

Smaller ensembles will perform across the city - for audience sizes aligned with health regulations.

The symphony musicians will also perform virtual concerts for Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.
