Violin virtuoso Vadim Repin performing Shostakovich's 1st Violin Concerto in A Minor sans conductor - with the Novosibirsk Academic Symphony Orchestra.

Believed to be the world's first conductorless performance of the work, soloist Vadim Repin courageously takes the reigns following conductor Valery Gergiev's last minute cancellation.

Recorded live on April 14th, 2014 - at the Trans Siberian Arts Festival, in Novosibirsk.
