VC Artist Violinist Kevin Zhu Signs with Sheldon Artists
Kevin has joined Sheldon Artists for general management and exclusive representation worldwide
VC Artist Kevin Zhu will be represented by Jonathan Wintringham and Doug Sheldon at Sheldon Artists. Kevin joins the likes of Anne-Sophie Mutter, Gidon Kremer, and Kyung-Wha Chung on the roster.
A graduate of The Juilliard School, Kevin first gained worldwide attention at age 11 with his first-prize win at the 2012 Menuhin Competition. His other accolades include first prize at the 2018 Paganini International Violin Competition and the 2021 Avery Fisher Career Grant.
He has since performed at venues including the Konzerthaus Berlin Singapore’s Esplanade, London’s Royal Festival Hall, Beijing’s Forbidden City Concert Hall, and the Kennedy Center, among others.
This season, Kevin’s engagements include solo concerts with the Sinfonieorchester Liechtenstein, National Taiwan Symphony Orchestra, Prague Philharmonia, and Orchestra Nuove Musiche, as well as recitals across the U.S., Mexico, and China.
As a chamber musician, he frequently works with artists including Louis Lortie, Lawrence Power, and Boris Giltburg. Additionally, he has been featured on BBC Radio 3 and RAI Radio 3, plus serves as the Culture Ambassador of China’s Lin Yao Ji Music Foundation.
Kevin performs on the c. 1700 “ex-Petri” Antonio Stradivari violin, on loan from the Ryuji Ueno Foundation and the Rare Violins In Consortium, Artists and Benefactors Collaborative.
