German violinist Sarah Christian is firmly establishing herself as one of the new generation's most gifted and promising young concert soloists

German violinist Sarah Christian is firmly establishing herself as one of the new generation's most gifted and promising young concert soloists.

A graduate of the Academy of Music Hanns Eisler and University of Mozarteum Salzburg, where she studied with Antje Weithaas and Igor Ozim, Sarah is a former major prize winner of the Szymon Goldberg, Johannes Brahms, Mendelssohn and Michael Hill International Violin Competitions - and was last year awarded joint-top prize at the prestigious 2017 ARD International Violin Competition, in Munich.

Her recent solo engagements include performances with the Bavarian Chamber Philharmonic, Camerata Salzburg, Auckland Philharmonic and the Klagenfurt Symphony Orchestra - and she currently serves as 1st Concertmaster of the Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen. 

Sarah performs on a 2011 Stefan Peter Greiner modern violin.
