Led by Director of the Banff International String Quartet Competition Barry Shiffman, the Banff International String Quartet Festival is a three-day festival showcasing today's exquisite talent in classical music.

In 2017, the Banff International String Quartet Festival commenced in non-competition years. and features competition alumni alongside special guests.

This season finale concert features a fantastic collection of classical music masterpieces performed by violinists Jonathan Schwarz, Hao Zhou, Jonathan Crow, and Andrew Wan; violists Barry Shiffman, Aiden Kane, and Sharon Wei; cellists Tate Zawadiuk, Brian Manker, and Lukas Schwarz; pianist Gilles Vonsattel; singer Ema Nikolovska; accordionist Michael Bridge, and bassist Joel Quarrington.
