VC LIVE | Colburn School Recovered Voices: Schulhoff and More
Performances by Colburn musicians are featured throughout this online series
We're coming to you from Los Angeles, California for three performances from the Colburn School Ziering-Conlon Initiative for Recovered Voices.
This online series delves into the life and music of Erwin Schulhoff (1894–1942), who was one of many composers whose works were banned during the years of the Nazi regime in Europe.
Performances by Colburn musicians are featured throughout the series — most of which were recorded at the height of the pandemic. Colburn Conservatory graduate student, Adam Millstein, assumed a leadership role as student curator for this project, assembling Colburn artist-colleagues to perform and record.
