VC LIVE | Salon De Virtuosi "East Meets West"

To be streamed at 7:00 EST on July 6, this concert features the Ivalas Quartet and traditional Indian instrumentalists Indrayuddh Majumder and Mayookh Bhaumik

We're coming to you from the Consulate General of India in New York for a special “East Meets West" concert presented by Charlotte White's Salon De Virtuosi.

This concert features the Ivalas Quartet performing movements from Brahms, Walker, and Haydn as well as traditional Indian instrumentalists Indrayuddh Majumder and Mayookh Bhaumik playing traditional ragas on the sarod and the tabla.

Salon de Virtuosi has been supporting outstanding young musicians at the early stages of their careers since 1989, with generous career grants and performance opportunities.

Among the artists presented in its earlier years include Gil Shaham, Lang Lang, Philippe Quint, Pablo Sainz Villegas, Conrad Tao — and VC Artists Josef Spacek, Paul Huang, Zlatomir Fung, Nathan Meltzer, and Yesong Sophie Lee.
