We're coming to you direct from Wigmore Hall on Monday morning for a special chamber music recital — LIVE from the iconic London concert hall.
This concert features the Schumann Quartet performing works by Beethoven and Mendelssohn.

Ludwig van Beethoven (1770-1827)
String Quartet No. 4 in C minor Op. 18 No. 4
Felix Mendelssohn (1809-1847)
String Quartet No. 4 in E minor Op. 44 No. 2
Based in Cologne, Germany, the Schumann Quartet comprises Erik Schumann (violin), Ken Schumann (violin), Veit Benedikt Hertenstein (viola), and Mark Schumann (cello).
They were prizewinners of the 7th Osaka International Chamber Music Competition, the 8th International Competition "Schubert und die Musik der Moderne" in Graz, the International Bordeaux String Quartet Competition, and more. Among their recordings, their CD “Mozart Ives Verdi” was awarded the 2016 Newcomer Award at the BBC Music Magazine Awards in London.
The ensemble was the Quartet in Residence at Wigmore Hall for the 21/22 season and are currently artists of the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center.
A special highlight of the 22/23 season will be their concert tour to Singapore, followed by concerts in Adelaide, Australia. The quartet will also perform twice at the Concertgebouw Amsterdam and three times at Wigmore Hall.
