Romanian-born American violin pedagogue Ecaterina (Kati) Gerson has passed away from cancer - aged 64

Romanian-born American violin pedagogue Dr Ecaterina (Kati) Gerson has passed away from cancer - aged 64.

A PhD graduate from the Bucharest Academy of Music, Ms Gerson served long term teaching positions on faculty at New York’s Queens College and Queensborough Community College.

“Ms. Gerson passed away this morning peacefully in her sleep … the outpouring of love and caring made this difficult time a little easier …” her family have said.
