Today is American violinist and conductor Anshel Brusilow’s 89th birthday!

A graduate of the Curtis Institute of Music, Maestro Brusilow is a former prize winner at the Jacques Thibaud-Marguerite Long International Violin Competition – and a former Concertmaster of The Philadelphia Orchestra.

He served as Principal Conductor of the Dallas Symphony Orchestra – and held a long-term distinguished Professorship at the University of North Texas.
