CM Artists New York has announced the signing of Japanese-Canadian violinist Karen Gomyo to its roster for North American representation
CM Artists New York has this week announced the signing of Japanese-Canadian violin virtuoso Karen Gomyo to its roster for North American representation - effective immediately.
Karen was formerly managed by veteran artist manager Seldy Cramer from Seldy Cramer Artists, in San Francisco - who in August of last year advised her roster she would be significantly scaling back her workload as of January 1st, 2019.
“I’ve done this work continuously for 43 years … no time off even when my children were born … it has been challenging, fun and rewarding …,” Seldy Cramer has said.
“My office will be contracting and servicing all artist engagements booked by me from now through the 2019-2020 season, but you will be hearing from new managers starting on January 1, 2019 about all future bookings …” she has said.
“I have loved managing Karen … her career is coming along brilliantly … she will be managed as of January 1, 2019 by the incomparable and excellent Linda Marder from CM Artists."
Karen will continue to be managed by Etta Morgan at Askonas-Holt in London for Europe, Asia, Australia and New Zealand.
CM Artists New York's roster includes conductor John Storgards, pianist Stephen Hough, violinists Christian Tetzlaff and VC Artist Angelo Xiang Yu and cellist Julian Schwarz.
