Los Angeles’ Hollywood Bowl Orchestra Announces New Concertmaster
The Hollywood Bowl Orchestra has announced the appointment of violinist Kathryn Eberle as its new Concertmaster
The Hollywood Bowl Orchestra, in Los Angeles, has today announced the appointment of violinist Kathryn Eberle as its new Concertmaster - effective immediately.
A graduate of the Colburn School and The Juilliard School, where she studied with Robert Lipsett and Sylvia Rosenberg, Karthryn currently serves as Associate Concertmaster of the Utah Symphony.
She will replace violinist Katia Popov - who sadly passed away from cancer, aged just 50, in May of 2018.
"I am delighted to have Kathryn join the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra family … she is an exceptional artist and consummate professional, both of which will add significant value to our institution,’ Hollywood Bowl Orchestra Principal Conductor, Thomas Wilkins has today said.
Karthryn will balance the new appointment with her role in the Utah Symphony.
