A student of Ivan Galamian, Mr. Luca was a founding member of Chamber Music Northwest and served a long term teaching position on faculty at Rice University's Shepherd School of Music
Romanian-born American violinist Sergiu Luca died on this day in 2010.
He passed away from bile-duct cancer at the age of 67.
