VC Artist Stefan Jackiw Announces Launch of New Masterclass 'Academy' Series

VC Artist Stefan Jackiw has announced the launch of his new online violin masterclass academy - ‘Stefan’s Sessions‘

American violinist, VC Artist Stefan Jackiw has week announced the launch of his new online academy -  ‘Stefan’s Sessions‘.

In each session, three students will each be invited to perform a movement from a selected concerto for Stefan, via Zoom.

"Stefan’s Sessions will be structured as a series of episodes ... in each episode, I will take viewers on a deep dive into one masterpiece of the violin repertoire ... I will be joined by three up-and-coming violinists, who will each perform one movement from the work ..." Stefan has this week told The Violin Channel.

"Whether they are currently working on the piece at hand or plan to in the future, I hope that these sessions will yield helpful tips and guidance on how to think about the piece, how to tackle tricky technical passages, and how to prepare the work for performance,” he has said.

The first episode in the series will feature Tchaikovsky’s Violin Concerto - followed by masterclasses on the Sibelius and Mendelssohn Concertos.

All sessions will be free for performers and viewers.
