27-year-old violinist Stella Chen is building an international reputation as an emerging young concert artist of outstanding potential

27-year-old violinist Stella Chen is building an international reputation as an emerging young concert artist of outstanding potential.

A graduate of Harvard University and the New England Conservatory, and current student at The Juilliard School and the Kronberg Academy, Stella is a former prize winner at the Tibor Varga and Menuhin International Violin Competitions - and was awarded 1st prize at the 2019 Queen Elisabeth International Violin Competition, in Brussels.

She will also this year be honored as a recipient of a 2020 Lincoln Center Emerging Artist Prize.

Stella's recent performances include solo appearances with the Belgian National Orchestra, Lausanne Chamber Orchestra, Brussels Philharmonic, Orchestre Royal de Chambre de Wallonie, Orquestra Filarmónica de Medellín, London Chamber Orchestra and Welsh National Symphony Orchestra.

Upcoming engagements include appearances with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Luxembourg Philharmonia and more.

She currently performs on the 1708 'Huggins' Stradivarius - on generous loan from the Nippon Foundation.
