SAD NEWS | Viennese Conductor and Concertmaster Walter Weller Has Died

Austrian violinist and conductor Walter Weller has passed away from pancreatic cancer – aged 75.

Mr Walter served as Concertmaster of the Vienna Philharmonic, in the 1960s and early 1970s, before going on to hold Principal conducting positions with the Royal Liverpool Philhamonic, Royal Philhamonic, National Orchestra of Belgium, Stuttgart Philharmonic and the Scottish National Orchestra - and guest positions with the Vienna State Opera and Vienna Volksoper.
