Lithuanian violinist and conductor Saulius Sondeckis has passed away - aged 87.

He held a long-term teaching position on faculty at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre - and served as Artistic Director and Principal Conductor of the Lithuanian Chamber Orchestra from 1960 until his retirement in 2004.

Our condolences are with Mr Sondeckis’ family, colleague, students and friends.
