Anne-Sophie Mutter has today announced the launch a new competition for fans to design the cover of her upcoming CD

Violin virtuoso, Anne-Sophie Mutter has today announced the launch a new competition for fans to design the cover of her upcoming CD.

“We are delighted to announce a special album cover competition for fans of Anne-Sophie Mutter to join her in the creation process of her new album,” Stephan Steigleder from 99 Designs has said.

“This exciting competition is proof positive of the high esteem in which Anne-Sophie Mutter holds her fans ... and represents her wish now to experiment in working together with them,” he has said.

Entitled ‘Mutterissimo - The Art of Anne-Sophie Mutter’, the disc is set to be released later this year on the Deutsche Grammophon label, and will include a selection of highlights from the virtuoso's discography.

The winning design will be chosen by Anne-Sophie Mutter personally.

Applications to be received by 29th August.
