AUDITION | Finnish Radio Symphony Orchestra — Principal 2nd Violin

The Finnish Radio Symphony Orchestra (FRSO) will hold live auditions at the Helsinki Music Center for Principal 2nd Violin on October 10 and 11, 2022, from 2:30 PM. The deadline for applications is 11:59 PM Finnish time on August 28, 2022.
The monthly salary for the role is €4,219.33, with a five-year professional orchestra experience supplement of €4,413.72, plus concert attire and instrument allowance. The winning candidate, if they prefer, will also have the opportunity to use a c.1730-35 Matteo Goffriller violin.
Founded in 1927, the FRSO is the orchestra of the Finnish Broadcasting Company (Yle). A two-time Gramophone Award winner, the orchestra also received an International Classical Music Award (ICMA) in 2018 and a Finnish EMMA award in 2016 and 2019. The group’s chief conductors have included Toivo Haapanen, Nils-Eric Fougstedt, Paavo Berglund, Okko Kamu, Leif Segerstam, Jukka-Pekka Saraste, Sakari Oramo, and Hannu Lintu.
