AUDITION | Kansas City Symphony — Associate Concertmaster
Applications to this full-time, tenure track role will close on August 26, 2022, with live auditions to begin on October 17, 2022
The Kansas City Symphony’s (KCS) Preliminary Rounds for Associate Concertmaster will be held live on October 17, 2022 and October 18, if needed. The Semifinal, and Final rounds will be on October 17, 2022, or October 18.
The winning candidate will begin their tenure with the KCS in January 2023 or upon mutual agreement, no later than September 2023 for the start of the 2023-2024 concert season.
The 2022-2023 season annual base salary is at $67,21. Additional benefits include Health Insurance coverage, Dental, Life & ADD, Instrument, and Long Term Disability Insurance, up to 12-week paid maternity/paternity leave, plus 19 days paid vacation per season.
Founded in 1982, the KCS is an 80-piece orchestra that performs a wide variety of Classical subscription, educational, special and engagement concerts within a 42-week season that runs from September through June. Additionally, the KCS performs most productions of the Lyric Opera of Kansas City and the Kansas City Ballet.
The Associate Concertmaster audition will be held in Helzberg Hall at the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts. Audition times will be assigned upon receipt of both a résumé and a deposit of $100.
