The Orchestre de Paris will hold in-person auditions in three rounds for Principal 2nd Violin on September 23, 2022, from 9:30 AM. This role also involves playing first chair violin in the orchestra.

The successor to the Société des Concerts du Conservatoire founded in 1828, the Orchestre de Paris gave its inaugural concert in 1967 with conductor Charles Munch. Comprising 119 musicians, the ensemble performs around 100 concerts each season at the Philharmonie de Paris or on international tours. Past music directors have included Herbert von Karajan, Sir Georg Solti, Daniel Barenboim, Semyon Bychkov, Christoph von Dohnányi, Christoph Eschenbach, Paavo Järvi, and Daniel Harding.
