Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center Presents 8 Free Digital Concerts
The concerts will be held every Monday evening from July 12 to August 30, and will be streamed on The Violin Channel
The Chamber Music Society (CMS) of Lincoln Center, New York City is partnering up with The Violin Channel to offer a series of eight free digital concerts throughout July and August, each lasting around one hour.
Among the featured CMS artists include VC Artist violist Matthew Lipman, violinists Kristin Lee, Arnaud Sussmann, and Sean Lee, pianists Gilles Vonsattel, and Wu Han, and the Calidore String Quartet.
The ensembles will perform an exciting selection of works by a variety of composers, including Mozart's Duo in G major for Violin and Viola, Boulanger's Trois Morceaux, Farrenc's Air Russe Varié, multiple Beethoven string quartets, Ravel's Sonata for Violin and Piano, and Schubert's Quintet in C Major.
The eight concerts were produced and directed by Art Docs this spring, with the generous support of the Frederick R. Koch Foundation. They were recorded at the historic Frederick R. Koch Foundation Townhouse — an architecturally stunning location that provided the perfect backdrop for the chamber music performances. The concerts honor the late Frederick R. Koch’s lifelong dedication to supporting the visual and performing arts.
The series will stream every Monday evening at 7:30pm EDT on both the Chamber Music Society’s website, where it will also be available on-demand for one year after each premiere. You can also view them on The Violin Channel on the premiere date and on-demand for one week after each premiere.
